Action #1 - limit your intake of trans-fats. These are the fats that are found in margarine, which is supposed to be healthy. It’s alternative – butter contains cholesterol. Without going into much details just know this – cholesterol is a lot healthier to consume than trans-fats. Other foods you should avoid are those, that are fried with some kind of vegetable oil. Once after the vegetable oil is heated, some of the unsaturated fat cells transform into trans-fats.

Action #2 – choose the right carbs. Eating a lot of carbs will make your body produce fat. And we all know how that this is not healthy. It is tough for your heart to distribute your blood throughout the whole body, if you are overweight.

Action #3 – Eat more meat. Meat contains a lot of proteins. And surprise – your body is composed of meat therefore it is also composed of proteins. So in order for you to be healthy, you have to eat more of the building blocks of your body.  Other sources of high quality protein include eggs, fish and liver.

Action #4 - Include healthy monounsaturated fats into your menu. The best sources of this type of fats are olives and olive oil. You can never go wrong with this type of fats. This is the only type of fats, that all the medical schools in the world accept as healthy.

Applying these tips in your lifestyle will make a huge difference in your health. You will become lean, better-looking and energetic. At first it is hard to keep track of what you eat. After some time, it will become a habit. Then you won’t need to make a conscious effort to keep your eating habits healthy. You will know intuitively what to eat, and you will feel good about yourself.
